Great Electronic handheld toy September 27, 2013

As a gift for a 13 year old the features are fun to access and work with. It has a lot of fun, simple features that are easy to manipulate for young teens.

3D doesn't work for me September 14, 2013
Reviewer: blinguskahn
I am 20/20 in my right eye and 20/30 in my left eye. No matter where I move the 3D slider, I always see a double image. It is not the fault of the hardware, instead that my left eye is not aligned with my right eye.

Solid hardware, still waiting on must-have games July 17, 2013

After the manufacturing issue that led to the infamous "cracked hinges" with the DS lite, and an unnaturally crash-prone DSi, I decided it was time to move up... and finally, Nintendo seemingly had a DS system that seemed to remedy those hardware faults. Enter the 3DS.

BEST HANDHELD EVER! April 19, 2013
Reviewer: Vinny13
I tried the 3DS at a Best Buy store and it is by far the best hand held EVER! Nintendo really did a great job! It is, I think, a little to expensive but you get a lot with it, like Face Raiders and the AR games. The controls are easy and the graphics of the games are a huge improvement, compared to the other DS models. The 3D effect is NOT a gimmick and works great. I played the 3DS for a half an hour and had no trouble with my eyes. I do wish the battery life would last longer, but you can get the battery extension that doubles the life. This is a great system and the technology used will be a huge influence on other companies!

First 3D handheld done right March 27, 2013
Reviewer: BlueDestined
The 3DS is truly a well designed handheld. Compact and sleek, this system was definitely not made with only kids in mind. The 3D screen is really awesome, although not entirely perfect, the images are something to behold. The launch games are pretty weak so that is probably why it's not sold out. By Christmas, with a larger library of games this with definitely be a hot ticket. Luckly there is backward capatibility with DS games so it doesn't feel like the debut of the PSP all over. The 3D screen is amazing but a little small and if the screen is slanted a little, you see double vision. Hopefully this can be fixed with later games, if not this might become a nuisance having to play the system in a fixed position. All in all, this is a near perfect attempt by Nintendo into the realm of portable 3D gaming. A must buy!

Another Great Portable System March 26, 2013
Reviewer: WebMasterX
I picked up the cosmo black 3DS today with Super Monkeyball and Madden NFL. I'm very pleased with my purchase so far. The graphics are great and the ability to adjust the 3D helps a lot. Some games I find better with full 3D, others with a little less. That experience will vary from person to person but with the quick real-time adjustments, you can quickly get your eyes adjusted to the 3D effects and play no problem. Not to say it is perfect as the slightest shift in angle will effect your 3D experience but once you get used to it and find the "sweet spot", the 3D gaming is a great experience. I used the "sleep" feature when I went geocaching to earn some coins for walking (based on number of steps) but I found it kills the battery very quickly. After the first unboxing, I played until the initial charge died then gave it a full charge. After 1 world of Monkey ball, 2 games of Madden, and using the sleep mode the rest of the time, the battery completely died. Box says about 3 hours which is unfortunate because if you're on a long trip, this is not going to last long. That is the only flaw I have found so far. Other than that, this is a great system and I would recommend it to any DS/DSi fan.
