It's something new, just not Mario Party. March 17, 2012
Reviewer: Sally Fields
The most noticeable difference is it is much EASIER than all of the other games. It is definitely more accessible to a 5 year old that would not have been able to really play Mario Party 8 or the others. You don't really have to read anything. You don't even have to swing the wii remote. You just hit the A button and go. The second most noticeable thing is that many times in the game things feel choppy and unfinished; it appears that they did not spend a lot of time developing this game. Now I could be wrong about this because a lot of things could be unlockable! My first impression of the sloppiness and rushed release of this game was the intro screen. In Mario Party 8, you could click on the characters and they would spin and make a noise. Mario would do various actions. No such animations are present in this game as far as I can see. Little things like that make a huge difference in presentation. The graphics themselves seem kind of boring and lackluster.

Nintendo got lazy on this one! March 17, 2012

I want to start by saying that I have been playing the mario party games since the first one came out in the late 90's. I don't play a lot of games, but the mario party series is something that I enjoy. I can remember a lot of fun times being created among friends and family members throughout the years of playing mario party. I was on the fence when mario party 8 came out on the wii, and it turned out to be a another hit. I now enjoy playing these games with my wife, as she too grew up in the nintendo era. However, mario party 9 appears to have lost all of the magic that made the first 8 so classic. Change is inevitable, but it should always be for the greater good. The mini games are good, but A classic mario party game should last more than 45 minutes.

Better Then Mario Party 8 March 16, 2012

I bought this game after having loads of fun with Mario Party 8. I love this game. Especially the new features and the new mini games. Great game and makes for a very good time when playing 4 players. I also love that you don't have to play 4 players all the time.

Was very excited to purchase this game and sorely disappointed. Too many changes and any sort of strategy was taken out. Waste of money and time.

When I had questions about my order and sent an email the staff got right back and had answers for all my questions. I never felt I was left hanging. I will be ordering from again in the future.
