great fun, variable workout April 27, 2013
Reviewer: KT
PROS: MANY!!! I tend to get bored easily with workouts, but this is a great one. You do a bunch of short activities (running, bicycling - which includes sprinting, jumping, bending/squatting, basketball - side-lunges, jumps, soccer, etc.), so you don't have time to get bored.

2. You can customize your workouts by choosing the sequence and elements of your activities.

CONS: 1. There's too much downtime between activities, so your heart rate goes back down again (not good for burning calories, but good for chances to drink a lot of water, which is what you'll need to keep your muscles functioning for days afterward!). [Perhaps there's a way to eliminate the tutorials in-between activities -- it's a pain to keep grabbing the controller to hit A to skip -- but the loading time is pretty long for each activity.]

2. The elastic bands get hot and sticky, but you'll be having so much fun and working out so hard, you won't even notice it (until the down-times in Con #1).

The most exercises in a Wii game February 3, 2013
Reviewer: Rudy
The exercises makes your heart beat at 125 or 158 bpm!! It's an excellent game to get in shape! And the 9 weeks challenge, its simple what you need to loose weight.

Cons: I can't believe that the AE sports team didn't think about to download an update, via internet, to improve little things, like if you have the Wii balance board, to use it with this game, and if you aren't using it, but it turns off, the game stops, even if you arent using it at that moment!!

Review of Active 2 January 29, 2013

This is an excellent cardio workout for the home. I like the levels of difficulty available, and the updated version has the monitors to strap onto the arm & leg. This makes it much less cumbersome & far more accurate. I think it is the best workout available for the Wii.

Great Workout and Fun Too!!! January 27, 2013
Reviewer: Donna M from Pennsylvania
I feel great after I do the workouts on the EA Sports Active 2. I like that it has a heart monitor, tells you your heart rate, calories burned and how well you are doing. I also like that it saves your results. It takes a few minutes to set things up the first time you use it but its worth it. The mountain bike and basketball hoops game challenges are fun. I also like the way you can create your own exercise program or follow a pre-set program. It gives you a schedule of workouts after you build your profile. You can also create your own schedule. Lots of variety and setting options here. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants light, moderate, or intense workouts and wants to have fun doing it!!

This is great for a serious workout January 2, 2013
Reviewer: Tab "Tabitha" from Bangor, ME
I got this on sale and thought I've give it a whirl. It'd be great to have on bad weather days this Winter (I live in New England). I really enjoyed it! It surpassed my expectations. The heart rate monitor gives you an accurate account of your calories burned and your target heart range. The variety of exercises was a good overall body workout and the interval style order of activity keeps your heart working the whole time. After a 30-45 min workout I had worked up more of a sweat than I do at the gym! I definitely love it. I don't have the Wii balance board so I also like that you don't need to purchase anything extra to 'play' this game. Everything you need is in the box.
