Epically Flawed

Epic Mickey is a game about nostalgia. This is not my first game featuring Mickey. Quite a few years ago I had a Mickey Game for my Sega Genesis called Mickey Mania. That game was fantastic for a "licensed game". Epic Mickey is not fantastic. It is a game based on the premise that people will pay to see Mickey represented by a famous game creator. The gameplay was so bad that I stopped during the second area. The camera perspective is horrible, the controls are sluggish and the graphics are bad, even for Wii (or gamecube for that matter). Maybe the game picks up later but I could not get past the control issues. To me game control is probably the biggest thing for a game to have. If the connection between the player and his avatar doesn't feel like it's one to one, then there is a chasm created between the player and the game. If you are a big fan of Mickey, get this game. It will make you nostalgic. If not, there are many other good games out there, a few of them platformers.

tests the patience, worth the reward

Nothing else needs to be said about the disastrous controls. Once you get beyond this and get lost in the game you will have a terrific time. It truly is EPIC. There are lots of vintage Disney stories and characters sprinkled throughout the game. There were occasions I had to go online to figure out an ambigious situation, but otherwise things were fairly self explanatory. At times it is far TOO DARK to see what's going on, but oh well. I finished this game and felt completely satisfied by the experience. I had a lot of fun playing this, in spite of the frustrating camera. It's worth picking up if you enjoy Disney and adventure games.

This game is amazing, I really do like it. The graphics are great, the music is fantastic, but it can be frustrating. Navigation can be tricky and the camera angles can sometimes go bonky, but if you can master the controls you will love this game!

A little boring

A little boring for my 14 yr old. But my 11 yr old likes it. You'll notice some of the park is in it.

This game is outstanding. By far the greatest Wii game you can buy. Go on a journey as Mickey mouse through the wastelands, vanquishing foes with thinner and paint. Truly addictive!
