no real challenge here May 14, 2011
Reviewer: Sharon
I'm 38 yrs old, and consider myself an intermediate exerciser. I've been doing Leslie Sansone's workout DVDs for over a year now, and it's helped me to lose 35kgs. What I love about her workouts are that they are so easy to follow that I can mute the sound, pop on my ipod, and listen to audio books while I exercise. As long as I can see the TV screen, I have no trouble following along with the workout. I started with her '3 mile Walk Away the Pounds', and worked my way up to her '5-Mile. If you've done Leslie's other 5 mile workouts, you'll probably find this new workout too easy. I'm lazy by nature, and if I'm going to spend an hour exercising, I want to feel as though I've burned off a lot of calories. What I did like about this DVD was the use of the firm bands, and having a few new moves incorporated into the workout was a nice addition. I have no desire to give up on Leslie Sansone's workouts, but if she doesn't come up with something more challenging, then I may have to.

It's not her best nor her worst April 13, 2011

I expected more.......sorry Leslie. People that work and are limited on time and cannot spend over an hour working out won't enjoy this DVD. Just doing one mile is not enough because none of the miles feels like a workout. I would have loved if one of the miles would have been a combination of very fast and boasted walking just enough to work up a sweat. A 10-12 minute mile on this DVD would have made it perfect for the person in a rush. I personally like Leslie when she's alone. I also like that she combined some of the old moves with some new ones.

Disappointed April 8, 2011

I regret purchasing it. I have her 2008 five mile and it is far superior. In the first mile you can hardly hear the music and the music throughout the workout is annoying at best. Leslie appears by herself and doesn't seem to be in the workout as in her others. The workout doesn't seem as intense as her others, either. I have her other five mile and her 2007 four mile and will continue to do those but the 2011 will have to sit on the shelf. If you like using the bands she does have a separate workout for that, otherwise, I'll stay with the older versions.

Great workout! January 30, 2011

I've walked with Leslie for 10 years now and I love her exercise dvd's! A year ago I needed a fresh start to exercising, so I purchased the 5 day Slim Down. That dvd is great for working up to 5 miles. It targets specific areas of the body and is easier for customizing your workout. Now it was time to change it up again! I just used the Walk It Off and Tone It Up today for the first time and love it as much as the 5 Day Slim Down. This was the first time in my life that I actually did 5 miles at one time! I'm sure I couldn't have done it though without first working up to the 5 miles over time. I feel the Walk It Off and Tone It Up is really best suited for someone who wants a full 5 mile workout. I love that she incorporates the toning bands with the cardio in this new dvd to get the most from the workout! I can tell that my arms and upper body got a great workout! I would highly recommend this dvd for anyone that loves walking with Leslie and wants to push themselves farther! I just did, and if I can do it...anyone can! Thanks Leslie and God bless you!!!
