I almost didn't buy this gem... January 10, 2014
Reviewer: Robert Patrick
...and I would never have known what I'd had missed. Don't believe professional reviewers whose opinions are sometimes very biased or who probably have lost the real magic touch for gaming. This game is a masterpiece. It's not a shooter or a puzzle-adventure, it's pure survival! Never, NEVER in any game have I feared death or turning a corner so much. Each accomplishment brings out a sign of relief. Buy this game. Buy the Wii U. Mario and this game are enough to make the purchase worth it. It's so unfair that this game wasn't considered for any award just because probably it doesn't resemble RE or COD enough...
Masterpiece. And yes, the gamepad is not gimmicky at all.

Survival Horror is Back January 6, 2014
Reviewer: Harrison Hamil
I warn you right up front, this isn't an action game, this isn't a first person shooter, this is survival horror. Those looking for a game that's a breeze, that just wants to blow things up, this isn't the game for you. Go play Resident Evil 6 or Call of Duty. For those who are looking for a tense game, that punishes you severely when you make mistakes, welcome to one of the best experiences you'll find in modern gaming. ZombiU is a tough game, at least it is when you are trying to play the game as if it's something else. It's a game that rewards strategic thinking, and slow well though-tout actions. I'll admit the game is tense, fear of losing your gear, your skills, and just plain failing in general will keep you focused. This is one of the best examples of how the Wii U can create powerful exclusive content and well worth any survival horror fan's time.

A return to survial horror January 2, 2014
Reviewer: Brenzor Hedrington
This game will appeal top anyone who thinks that the survival horror genre has been lacking over the last few years. Let me say first, this is not a blockbuster title such as the RE series but is brimming with atmosphere. I was very weary of this game based on the early reviews I saw and was hesitant to pick it up but I am glad I did
Overall I would rate this game a 7.5/1o. It isn't perfect but it is fun, thrilling and really takes me back to the zombie dogs jumping through that hallway window so many years ago. If you are looking for a good launch title that has respectable tech for the Wii U Pad , as well as being a good solid thriller, then check it out.

Keep it short and to the point December 4, 2013
Reviewer: Kyle Evans
This game is awesome! If you want a more detailed review there are plenty of others on here. Im just stating the facts. If you have a Wii U and like "horror" games, then you need this game. And if you don't have a Wii U....get one, you're slacking!

You will die... again, and again. November 20, 2013
Reviewer: Joshua Salinas
In ZombiU you wake up in a post-apocalyptic London that has been infected with zombies. You come into contact with another character over the a radio who helps you navigate the world. He helps you hack into doors, CCTV systems, and provides general advice about how to stay alive. You learn quickly that you are not the first or only agent that this character has sent out into the world. ZombiU is played from a first person perspective, but it doesn't have the pace of many first person shooters.I find that ZombiU invokes a sort of desolate feel that such a world should have. Everyone is caught off guard and, quite frankly, life sucks in this new zombie-infected world. My biggest advice about choosing ZombiU would be consider your own level of patience. If you are looking for a fast-paced shooter with an abundance of ammo ZombieU will most likely disappoint. Personally, I love the look and feel of the game.

True survival horror November 19, 2013
Reviewer: Amanda Tryon
You play as one random survivor that is being helped by faceless voice on the radio. In the vein of Demon's Souls you die and you start again at the beginning, but unlike Demon Souls, all your progress is not lost. You wake up as another random survivor waking up in the safe house. Whatever mission you were on before you died is still active, and the world remains more or less as you left it when your previous survivor died.Overall, the reason I think I like it so much is my longing for an old-style Resident Evil game. This game delivers it, but adds some new elements which freshen up the gameplay. If you are looking for a zombie action shooter this game isn't for you. If you want a good survival horror this is definitely the game for you.
