The many health benefits of exercise
The Mayo Clinic lists plenty of reasons why activity such as aerobics is beneficial and even crucial to your health and well-being. Just a few short activities on your Wii console each day can help you lose weight, manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure, ward off illness, and even help you live longer.1
Play with your kids and family
The Wii console enables the whole family to enjoy the experience of gaming together. Up to 4 players can enjoy familiar sports activities in games like Wii Sports Resort, and up to 8 players are able to participate in the Wii Fit Plus multiplayer mode. Kids, friends and family will be able to get off the couch, have fun, and be active together.
Maintain the mind as well as the body
Walk in place on the Balance Board as you explore an engaging world that stimulates your mind as well as your activity level, with plenty of interesting surroundings to pay attention to. There are also games such as Deepak Chopra's Leela and Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree that with enrich and sharpen the mind, increasing brain health and reducing risk factors for diseases such as Alzheimer's.
Save time and money
One of the biggest benefits to fitness on the Wii is the value and convenience. A Wii console is a one-time fee, so there aren't any monthly gym membership dues or any fees to personal trainers, saving money. It only takes a few minutes to turn the console on and begin a quick workout, which is convenient for those who are short on time. And since the Wii is plugged into the television, adults can enjoy the benefits of fitness and fun in the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
No matter your skill level, stay healthy
An article on LiveStrong.org states that adults don't have to train like a professional to garner the benefits of exercise. Just 30 minutes a day of cardiovascular exercise, for most days of the week, will improve heart health.2 Wii fitness games give adults the opportunity to get that exercise in a convenient and easy-to-learn environment.
Extremely easy and accessible
You don't have to be a technology or video game expert to enjoy the Wii. Nintendo has designed the Wii console so anyone can set it up, with an included Quick Start guide to make set up simple and fast.
